初级班：针对零基础或入门级学生，重点学习棋子走法、基本规则、简单战术和开局原理。通过有趣的游戏和实践，帮助孩子们快速上手，体验棋艺的乐趣。
提高班：针对有一定基础的学生，深入探讨中局策略、残局技巧、常见开局变例，以及实战分析和对弈。强调战术组合和战略思考，帮助孩子们在比赛中游刃有余。

International Chess Classes Enrollment: Join Coach Alston’s Chess Journey!
Dear Parents and Students,
Hello! I am Alston, a passionate and dedicated professional chess coach. I started learning international chess at the age of 5.5 and won my first Chinese school championship at age 7, defeating many middle school students. I went on to claim multiple championships in various primary and secondary school chess competitions across Sydney. I graduated from the prestigious Baulkham Hills High School and am currently pursuing a degree in Data Science and Decisions at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. This journey has deeply shown me how chess cultivates logical thinking and decision-making skills, and I am eager to pass on this passion to more children.
Since 2019, I have been providing one-on-one chess tutoring to students from around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. My lessons are primarily in English (with Chinese available upon request), and I create personalized teaching plans based on each student’s personality, level, and goals. From beginners to advanced players, I cover foundational skills (such as chess notation and basic rules), tactical techniques (like forks, pins, discovered attacks, sacrifices, and windmills), opening principles (center control, Sicilian Defense, King’s Gambit), middlegame strategies, endgame techniques, practical game analysis, and live playing practice. Many of my students have excelled in school competitions, winning championships and representing their schools in Sydney regional events. This is not just about improving chess skills—it’s about building confidence, focus, and overall problem-solving abilities.
I am excited to announce that I will now be offering group chess classes at Pei Ji Chinese School! We will have two levels: Beginner Class and Advanced Class, suitable for children of different skill levels:
Beginner Class: For absolute beginners or entry-level students. Focus on piece movement, basic rules, simple tactics, and opening principles. Through fun games and hands-on practice, children will quickly get started and enjoy the excitement of chess.
Advanced Class: For students with some foundation. Dive deeper into middlegame strategies, endgame techniques, common opening variations, practical analysis, and live games. Emphasis on tactical combinations and strategic thinking to perform confidently in competitions.
